Words you'll see around Nectar, A to Z.
Allowance: Usage included in your plan.
Archive: Puts a companion or conversation aside so you can bring it back later. Archiving a conversation keeps its memories.
Author Comment: Notes for people viewing your companion or fantasy, such as a suggested starting scene. Put character behavior in Personality instead.
Auto: The Choose speaker option that lets Nectar pick who replies in a group chat.
Beat: One timed part of a V3 video prompt, such as
0s - 5s:. See Video Generation.Bio: See Personality.
Cast: The companions in a fantasy or group chat.
Clone: A new companion based on an existing public one.
Companion: An AI character you chat with.
Context window: How much of your recent chat your companion can see when it replies. See Memory. Power users: it's measured in tokens (8K means 8,000) and depends on your plan.
Continue: A button that lets your companion keep going, up to eight times in a row.
Conversation: One chat thread.
Credits: A balance spent on paid actions.
Custom Instructions: Your preferences for how your companion responds, under Chat Settings → Writing Style. Power users: the preset chips at the bottom offer ready-made instructions.
Customizations: Ready-made tiles for faces, outfits, poses, and effects. See Customizations.
Enhance: A button in Generate that expands a rough idea into a fuller prompt.
Example Dialogue: Optional sample messages in a fantasy that show how the characters speak.
Fantasy: A story setup with a premise and a cast.
Greeting: The first message your companion sends. A fantasy can have several.
Greeting Media: A photo or video attached to a greeting.
Group chat: A conversation with more than one companion.
High Importance: A starred memory. You can star up to 10. Power users: save stars for what matters most, such as your character's name, a relationship status, or a key story event.
Icks: A field describing what you want left out of a generated image. Also called a negative prompt.
Memory: Saved details your companion can refer back to, under Chat Settings → Memory.
Memory rating: The score on a chat model card for how well that model tracks the recent conversation. Not the same as the Memory feature.
Model: The AI option used to create replies, images, or videos.
Model Version: The version of the companion image or video model, such as V3 or V3 2K. Power users: V3 and V3 2K give the most detail and control, but they don't use weights or
BREAK. Write plain sentences instead.Narrator: The voice that reads narration aloud. Turn it on or off with Enable Narrator.
NSFW / SFW: Not safe for work / safe for work. Use the NSFW switch on Discover.
OOC (out of character): A note to the AI in brackets, such as
(OOC: slow down the pacing).Persona: The identity you use in a conversation.
Personality: The field describing a companion's background, speech, and behavior. Some people call it the bio.
Prompt: The description or instructions you give the AI.
Re-anchor: Restating a companion's clothes, position, and action at each beat of a video prompt. Power users: do it for every companion at every beat, so the next part of the clip has clear direction.
Regenerate: A button that gets you a different reply.
Remix: Opens the generator with a video's model, companion, prompt, and Icks already filled in.
Token: A piece of text, such as a word, part of a word, or punctuation. 8K means 8,000 tokens.
Weight: A number that adds or reduces emphasis on a phrase, such as
(red scarf:1.3). Works on Base and Companion V2, not V3. Power users: change one weight by 0.1 at a time and keep most of the prompt unweighted, since high weights can distort details.{user}: A placeholder that becomes your persona's name, or "Anon" if no persona is set, for example
{user} walks in.
